  • Completed cultural plans for all Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander youth across all programs to document cultural information inclusive of tribes, family connections, connections to Country and Community. This also included kin mapping and working with Elder, family and community at forming connections and possible kin placement options.
  • Facilitated return to Country for youth to be given to opportunity to connect where their families are from. This included local Elders, community and family.
  • Co-facilitation of cultural awareness training for all Life without barriers staff and carers.
  • Support of placement breakdowns and rebuilding relationships with families and carers.
  • Emotional and physical supports for youth with complex behaviours and trauma backgrounds.
  • Supported engagement for youth exiting the care system to link with Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander communities for supports.
