Bartender

D'arcy Arms
Gold Coast, QLD
09.2024 - Current
  • Provided excellent customer service by getting to know all the locals and new customers alike. Being the token Irishman working in an Irish pub was easy, as it was sort of like Mickey Mouse at Disney World. Talking about my homeland and how long I've been in Australia really made for an excellent combination.
  • My roles varied from waiter, bartender, sign flipper, and punching bag for the local Irish expats, and so on and so forth.
  • As an Irishman, I was born with the ability to pour an excellent pint of Guinness(and every other pint), but it doesn't stop there; I can also talk to a wall.
  • Getting to know the locals was what this job was all about, especially in this close-knit style of pub. My personality thrived in this environment, and I found it provided a lot of job satisfaction.
