My position in customer service requires me to visit customers throughout regional and metropolitan Victoria.
My duties at Sleepmaker varied from week to week sometimes even day to day depending on the needs of the company. As a driver, my position required me to deliver our products to customers at their home as well as deliver to our retail stores located throughout Melbourne and Geelong. In this position I was also required to deal with customer complaints and concerns and report any issues to our management. In the dispatch department, I was part of a team that picks and packs orders for our business customers throughout Australia.
My duties include;
My responsibility was to oversee the proper care of the vehicles to preserve them in top condition. This included daily inspections of vehicles, reporting on any damages as well as maintaining the showroom. I also primed vehicles, inside and out, taking great care that they looked showroom ready in adequate time before each vehicle was needed for the day’s scheduled trips.
Other responsibilities in this position included:
Working with Australian Quarantine and Inspection Services (AQIS), my responsibility was checking incoming shipping containers for quarantine risks. These risks included insects and other foreign pests, seed and plant material, and soil contamination. I was required to undertake training from AQIS as well as pass security checks in order to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card for this position. This position also required us to work alongside Customs and Immigration officers occasionally.
This position was for a charity organization which delivered confectionery snacks to work places in the suburbs surrounding Melbourne, Australia.
