  • The duties I have include:
  • Assessing products for warranty claims and identifying manufacturing faults.

My duties at Sleepmaker varied from week to week sometimes even day to day depending on the needs of the company. As a driver, my position required me to deliver our products to customers at their home as well as deliver to our retail stores located throughout Melbourne and Geelong. In this position I was also required to deal with customer complaints and concerns and report any issues to our management. In the dispatch department, I was part of a team that picks and packs orders for our business customers throughout Australia.


My duties include;

  • locating stock through order numbers and client names.
  • Ensuring labeling is correct on each product.
  • Contacting customers and arranging delivery times.

Showroom Manager / Detailer

My responsibility was to oversee the proper care of the vehicles to preserve them in top condition. This included daily inspections of vehicles, reporting on any damages as well as maintaining the showroom. I also primed vehicles, inside and out, taking great care that they looked showroom ready in adequate time before each vehicle was needed for the day’s scheduled trips.


Other responsibilities in this position included:

  • General maintenance of the showroom and shop areas (ie. vacuuming vehicles, sweeping floor, cleaning bathroom, trash removal, etc.)
  • Driving vehicles safely to and from mechanic shop for repairs.
  • Supervised inventory and placed orders to replenish low running supplies.
  • Maintained records of cleaning activities.

Quarantine Inspector

Working with Australian Quarantine and Inspection Services (AQIS), my responsibility was checking incoming shipping containers for quarantine risks. These risks included insects and other foreign pests, seed and plant material, and soil contamination. I was required to undertake training from AQIS as well as pass security checks in order to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card for this position. This position also required us to work alongside Customs and Immigration officers occasionally.

  • Other responsibilities in this position included:
  • Managing work rosters for certain shifts during the week.
  • Ensuring security procedures are met.
  • General maintenance of the work site.
  • Safe keeping of tools and equipment, and
  • Ensuring safety practices were undertaken.

This position was for a charity organization which delivered confectionery snacks to work places in the suburbs surrounding Melbourne, Australia.

Duties in this position included:

  • Ensuring the company van was stocked with correct quantities of certain products for the business run for the current day.
  • Collecting money and refilling the confectionery boxes with the correct number of products.
  • Addressed and resolved customer inquiries and concerns, fostering positive relationships.
  • Recording trends of confectionery consumption for each business.
