Summary

I am a Registered Nurse with 30 years of experience within different areas of healthcare in both Australia and England. Following qualification I worked in the aged care sector both as a permanent employee and via casual agency work. Following this was 10 years in secondary care gaining experience in ICU, vascular surgery, general medical, and discharge planning. Part way through this period I moved to the UK and continued working full time as a nurse. I moved into the primary care sector and spent 15 years in a full time position in a GP Surgery. Initially as a Practice Nurse, and with further training became a Nurse Practitioner. Additionally I held the lead nurse role and was member of the management team since November 2021. Since returning to Australia in 2022 I have worked as Practice Nurse in a busy GP surgery.

Latterly as the senior nurse being in charge of a team of 9 nurses, involved with recruitment, peer assessment and part of the senior practice team.
