During my time at CCS i was looking after the foundation pours for wind Turbines at Ryans Corner, Hawkesdle and Golden Plains.

My role included but not limited to, managing concrete pours, foundation preparation, truck driving, working with mobile plant and dogging crane loads.

• Oversaw daily building operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Led strategic planning initiatives to optimize facility management processes and improve service delivery.
• Coordinated with contractors for maintenance projects, enhancing communication and project execution efficiency.
• Fostered collaborative relationships with internal teams to align building operations with organizational goals.
• Oversaw budget management, effectively allocating resources to maintain high-quality building operations without overspending.
• Managed large-scale renovation projects from planning to execution, minimizing disruption to daily operations while enhancing property value.
• Collaborated with architects and contractors on new construction projects, ensuring code compliance and seamless integration with existing infrastructure systems.

During my time at Orica i was exposed to many different areas of the business.

Starting out as a trainee underground explosives tech in Western Australia working all around the gold fields.

from there i moved in to the Hypercharge team and looked after the south-east metals team throughout Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales. I led a team in implementing customer operated explosives systems, trainer/assessor, maintenance and liaising with mine mangers, drill and blast supervisors and the workshop.

I was given the opportunity to run my own site at Perilya in Broken Hill, taking on a site mangers role was a challenge yet very rewarding. My role included but not limited to site saftey, training, production and forecasting meetings, maintenace on all explosive equipment, people management, rosters and the safe and efficient delivery of a high end project.

I then went on to be a tunnelling shot firer at the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project

• Assisted in selecting and using appropriate tools for carpentry tasks.
• Learned safety protocols and best practices for operating power tools.
• Supported experienced carpenters in measuring and cutting materials accurately.
• Maintained a clean and organized workspace to enhance efficiency.
• Participated in training sessions to understand construction methods and materials.
• Developed strong carpentry skills through hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced mentors.
