  • In English, my students had improved in their overall English skills going from 8% working at high achieving in semester one to 62% high achieving in semester two. By semester two 12% of my class were reaching outstanding in English. This was achieved by implementing the research and practice from the professional development sessions by a leading English language facilitator.
  • In mathematics, my students had improved in their overall skills going from 12% working at high achieving in semester one to 42% high achieving in semester two. 12% of my class were reaching outstanding in mathematics for semester two. Students were assessed at the start of every topic. The program created using the assessment results supported students but also provided challenges especially in providing opportunities to justify and reason.
  • I implemented the NSW syllabus changes and practices to be ready for new syllabus for stage two in 2024 for mathematics and in English.
  • I followed targets to improve my own professional development profile.
  • I used different forms of learning to support auditory, kinesthetic and visual learning for my students with every lesson.
  • I communicated well with parents to ensure that they were informed about any changes or wellbeing matters that concerned their children.
