- At Tonson one of my key tasks was working with customers in face-to-face environment, this included answer calls, complaints, queries, providing quotes for products sold online and at the company and returns.
- My experience in consumer interaction included a wide range of customers including difficult & irate customers as a result I have learnt skills in de-escalation when dealing with difficult and irate customers and listening when dealing with queries and returns.
- The wide range of telephone calls meant that I had to have a thorough understanding of the products we sold and the different facets of the business we conducted.
- Solving customer’s problems required the supply of the required specifications of items customers enquired about, including the torque, power, weight and mounting options.
- Another key role was the reviewing the online products on eBay & Gumtree as well as updating and ensuring the product details were accurate.
- A minor task was reorganising of the product details and specifications into a simple and easy to understand for consumers to download on our websites.
- The weekly goals of the internship comprised of completing customer/clientele interaction and sales at a reasonable time determined by the difficulty of the problems provided.
- These weekly goals included creating and documenting catalogues and specification sheets of various hydraulic and pneumatic products that we stocked and could supply.

- My work at Orana included the detailing of cars for various customers, this included completing a daily list of cars within the time goals set, by the company.
- Which shows my ability to work independently with little instruction, supervision, or help.
- While there were daily rosters of the vehicles for the day, I often had urgent requests to incorporate into my fixed schedule, which required me to reorganise my schedule to accommodate these requests.
- As a result, I have excellent my time management and organisational skills and leant I can work efficiently and productively under pressure and can adapt to new situations.
Internship Student
MPE Plastic Extrusion

- During my first internship, I worked on Extrusion Machines in a manufacturing environment.
- My main role was to observe the daily maintenance and repairs of the machines in a small but busy manufacturing factory.
- I had experience in assisting with the production of the finished products, this included adjusting cuts, finishing drill holes and the final packaging of the products.
- This was a small company of four-five people including myself and the owner.
- One of roles included traveling to the company’s warehouse that stored their materials and doing a stock count, as well as marking down the locations of the different colours.
- This company focused a high standard of quality on the products produced and there was an emphasis on the maintenance and efficiency on the machinery.
- During this placement I had limited involvement with communicating with customers but extensive involvement with the production staff.
