- Initiating emergency care for ED presentations such as stroke, chest pain, anaphylaxis or DKA by utilising skills and pathways to guide care and escalation.
- PIVC insertion, pathology collection, istat blood testing and interpreting, nurse initiated or standing order medications, ECG, continuous cardiac monitoring, and IV infusions.
- Recognising and responding to deterioration in a timely matter.

- Clinical handovers for emergency transfers with, RSQ, QAS and Life Flight paramedics and doctors.

- Triaging deteriorating patients based on ATS and clinical judgement to delegation tasks to AINS or non clinical scribes as needed.
