After 18 years of being a stay at home mum, I re-entered the workforce as a Teacher Aide at BYETC. 3 months into this role, I was offered to join the administration team at WMETC as a temporary assistant, which is where I am currently working.
I started in an administration role at West Moreton Education Centre at the start of April 2025, which I'm currently still at. As an admin officer, I have taken on the role to ensure the office runs smoothly by managing a variety of tasks and operating under the centres data base to access OneSchool, USI Portal, DCOIS, SDS, QCAA, and ordering stationary, Liase with YJ staff and Transition Officers, filing, staff time sheets and leave forms.
Established supportive networks among students, family, and school staff, fostering a cohesive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborating closely with the school's learning and support team, I designed and evaluated strategies to enhance student resilience, pro-social behaviours, and overall academic performance. I focused on specific developmental and social needs, maintaining open communication regularly with parents, teachers, and principle to ensure transparency, upholding confidentiality.
Created a safe and nurturing environment meeting the child's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs to encourage positive growth across all areas. I managed system documentation, maintained accurate payment schedules, and handled rostering.
