  • Provide comprehensive orientation training and support to newly hired Grade 1 Social Workers. Informal support to Grade 1 Social Workers on the wards in the form of de-briefing complex case scenarios etc.
  • Upholding respectful communication among multidisciplinary teams, and creating a cohesive community / safe space.
  • Promote patient wellbeing, and support autonomy where possible and assist in exploring safe discharge plans. In the instance of cognitive concerns / impaired decision making, confidently support with decision making or assist with applications to Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) as recommended by multidisciplinary team.
