2 years in a row i won the Australian day young sports person of the year. i was fighting alot in the ametures traveling over 6 hours to sydney or the coast to fight . once i would fight i jump in car with my coach and drive 5-6 hours home and play first grade football the next day in group 11 comp on the sunday . Back to work on monday , i would be on the tools working hard to afford to do it all over again , come friday i would knock off work jump in car and if i wasnt traveling to fight i was driving 3-4 hours just to get sparring or the correct treatment for recovery.
through all of this the town seen my commitment & discipline to work and sports , by giving me the sports person of the year twice really boosted my reputation as a hard worker that takes pride in what he does. im very proud of it.
