Summary

Given my extensive retail and current community services experience, it is easy to see that at the core of my being I am person-centred. It is my goal to be able to help diverse and intersectional communities, and play a part in supporting individuals and families who are vulnerable and have experienced adversity. I am looking forward to applying my learned skills from my studies in practice.

My previous experience working at a High Security Women's Refuge has truly driven my passion even more, and has provided me amazing experience and knowledge of working in a crisis setting. My current role as a Case Practice Support Worker at Child Protection has cemented this passion, and truly driven me to utilise my knowledge and experience to increase my standard of service provision, whilst keeping an empathetic mindset.

I am an upbeat and enthusiastic individual, who isn't afraid to throw myself into any job. I pride myself on the standard of my work, and always strive to put my clients' needs first. Always willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities, it is safe to say I love learning and adding to my skill set.

I have recently completed my Diploma of Community Services in October 2023. I am also enrolled in further study through a Bachelor of Social Work which I will commence in 2024 (online). I am invested in being able to provide families and children affected by trauma greater opportunities and support to succeed.
