Hummingbird House provides short break stays, family support services, creative therapies, and care at the end of life for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Working with young children as a Personal Care Worker has allowed me to pursue my passion for caring for children whilst supporting them through their final stages of life.

- Assessing and providing appropriate care to patients, including end-of-life and after death care, mechanical hygiene assistance with the use of hoists, manual handling, oral feeding assistance, set up of PEG, NG, DJ feeds, and the use of the feeding pump, preparation of formula, medication administration, respite care, hydrotherapy assistance, and the use of the sensory room, as well as ADLs

- Providing empathic nursing care to neonates, infants and children, up to 18 years, with life-limiting conditions who are at the end-of-life stage
