  • Providing anaesthesia and postoperative pain relief for both elective and emergency surgery
  • My specialist training and experience in types of anaesthetic techniques include
  • General anaesthesia
  • Sedation for endoscopy procedures and minor surgical procedures
  • Dental Chair Anaesthesia
  • Regional Anaesthesia: spinal, epidural, combined spinal/epidural and caudal analgesia, brachial plexus blocks with different approaches, lumbar plexus block, peripheral nerve blocks in both upper and lower limbs and intravenous regional analgesia
  • I am trained to use nerve stimulator and ultrasound for plexus and peripheral nerve blocks
  • I have also performed regional anaesthesia for ophthalmic surgery (sub tenon and peribulbar blocks)
  • Invasive Monitoring: Arterial lines, Central venous pressure monitoring catheters, Pulmonary Arterial Catheters when required, intracranial bolts to monitor intracranial pressure in neuro-intensive care patients, Vascaths for renal dialysis
  • Difficult airway management techniques including fibreoptic laryngoscopy and percutaneous tracheostomy
  • Chest drains insertion
  • Interosseous cannulation

  • Oesophageal Doppler monitoring of cardiac function
