  • Company Overview: SIS is a unique organisation focused on manufacturing and distributing sustainable composite GFRP products for diversified clients. SIS has a 20 year manufacturing licence out of the Netherlands through a Company called Infracore, to manufacture in Oceania. From a world first recycled plastic core bridge manufactured for Newenham Estate in Mount Barker, SIS are market leaders in delivering sustainable products to customers in Civil Infrastructure, Building & Construction, Oil & Gas, Mining, Aviation, Aquaculture, Marine & Ports, Transport & Logistics and Agriculture. Current projects undertaken and being delivered are Sydney Rail, Melbourne Water, Shoalhaven Council, Mt Barker Council & Burke Urban, Tatiara Council, Riverlea Estate, Buckland Park, DIT Tram Separation Upgrade Project (TGSP Joint Venture), North East Link M80 Ring Road Project Victoria (Acciona in consortium with partners MACA and AECOM).


  • General Management – Strategic Planning, Communications and Projects:
  • Overseeing project management with weekly meetings conducted with the Managing Director, Project Director, Project Manager, Project Coordinator Production Manager and Business Development Manager to ensure project timelines are being met, manufacture is on target, procurement of inventory for projects is being met, production staff levels are sufficient for manufacture and site inductions, insurances and sub-contractors are managed accordingly.
  • Management of project budgets through the SIS Job Costing accounting system and flagging any issues with over/under spend on the job. Takes into account engineering costs pre job, manufacturing costs of labour, overheads, inventory and contractors. Highlighting any overspend on the job and rectifying.
  • Overseeing BID preparation to ensure everything is correct prior to submittal of tenders i.e. finance, insurances, contacts for the job, cv of prior contracts completed and providing high level support to the team.
  • Assisting in the management of won projects with the project team and liaising with Councils, Architects, Engineers, Civil Contractors and Government organisations to maintain effective relationships and communications.
  • Developing business improvement processes and reporting to the Board.
  • Managing potential leads to win projects through the BCI platform, which reveals projects before they are at tender stage and before projects are awarded. The stages are analysed as to whether to pursue the jobs from early concept stage, Design and Documentation, and Main Contractor awarded.


  • Human Resources:
  • Creating Job advertisements, screening applications, interviewing and candidate selection.
  • International recruitment working with Pax Migration to secure specific candidates around the world who have composites experience.
  • Writing job descriptions and implementing employee contracts.
  • Organizing training for employees and documenting licences and certifications and ensuring all are current, and employees are trained suitably to meet job requirements.
  • Conducting 6 monthly probationary reviews and 12 monthly reviews to ensure employees achieve their goals and contribute to the organization in a positive manner for all parties.
  • Overseeing and approving payroll, managing superannuation payments, return to work payments, contracts under the Manufacturing and Associated Industries Award.
  • Addressing workplace issues, mediating conflicts and ensuring positive employee morale.
  • Working with companies such as Maxima, Barkuma and Workskil to recruit and empower people who a have been long term unemployed, have disabilities or from an Indigenous background to promote inclusion in the workplace.


  • Information Technology:
  • Ensuring efficient operation of technology systems within SIS, including maintaining M365 Licences, logins, hardware purchases and software for employees.
  • Managing DISP accreditation for Defence and ensuring employees are progressing through the training. Working with Citadel IT on Defence training
