Research History

Undergraduate Thesis: Droplet misplacement reduction in print-zone utilizing a suction in order to stabilize the airflow which can reduce droplet misplacement. 


Thesis Supervisor:  Andre Fellipe Vilanova de Araujo Aquino


  • Consisted of comparing the angle the suction nozzle was placed and the suction pressure.
  • Actively involved in team management, literature review and studying the background & theoretical aspects of this thesis project.
  • Post-Processed results on Paraview to capture visual data and accurately conclude which parameters provide the most desirable results.
  • Developed and established sound knowledge on multi-phase fluid flow and boundary layer theory.
  • Established understanding in types of multi-phase flow methodologies including Particle-In-Cell (PIC) and Dispersed Phase Continuum (DPC)
