  • At Woolworths new applications are being built directly in the cloud and a recent Unify program has migrated applications from number of infrastructure platforms in dedicated data centres to cloud by moving all on-prem workloads to Microsoft Azure
  • Unify Program has been pursuing the reduction of datacentre hosting environments through the migration of workloads from on-prem hosting environments to public cloud
  • Applications have been migrated to Azure Cloud (AVS or Azure Native) from Dell Private Cloud (DPC) and legacy platforms residing on infrastructure hosted in Eastern Creek, Equinix Data Centre and Norwest Data Centres
  • Applications and related Databases (DB’s) are migrated from DPC and legacy hosting to Azure VMware Solution (AVS) on the Azure platform supported by Dell via HCX - replication & RAV model/vMotion model.
