- Provide care to the patients in aged care facility setting under the supervision of the Registered Nurses
- Work with clients with different conditions (Dementia, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, Type-1 and 2 diabetes, hearing and vision loss or impairment, cancer, mental health disorders, cognitive decline, loss of mobility etc
- Observe, measure and record patients’ vital statistics and report the changes in patient’s conditions to RN
- Provide physical/emotional support to the client and families
- Assisting residents with their daily activities in the areas of personal hygiene, grooming, oral hygiene, continence management, mobility food and fluids, maintenance of hearing aids, glasses, physiotherapy exercises, use of wheelchair and other aids
- Maintain the confidentiality/PRIVACY and consent of clients
- Manage and oversee the distribution of meals throughout the shift
- Keep utmost attention to the dietary needs of the cutomer for example; soft, mince & moist, puree and normal diet
- Communicate with residents to make them feel comfortable and happy
