Major Project (Analysis and Design of a connecting corridor)
Designed the ideal route between two university buildings. In addition to my usual skills, this task required me to learn how to utilise the tool STAAD.PRO, which was used to analyse a structure that had previously been manually built. The corridor was planned to connect the 5th level (4th Floor) of Civil Engineering Department to the 5th level of the Main Block in the university. When the project was finally finished, the STAAD.PRO results revealed that the design met the requirements of IS800: 2007 with sufficient strength and stability (General Construction in Steel).
Mini Project (Reinforced Concrete Beam Strengthened using Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer)
Designed a reinforced concrete beam using various GFRP layers to increase the tensile strength of the beam.
Civil and Infrastructure Engineering Projects
Improvement of Engineering and Environmental Aspects of Rymill Park
Worked on the tender, feasibility and detailed design of the project, whose clients are GHD and Adelaide City Council.
Impact of Rainwater Tanks in Stormwater Drainage Systems
The aim of this project is to Perform an investigation on the economic consequences of incorporating rainwater tanks into drainage systems. Designed and analysed the potential influence of rainwater tanks on the dimensions of the pipes in the drainage system and the optimal flow rate of the drainage system by utilising rainwater storage tanks.
