S.SERKAN GULLUOGLU, Ph.D.

Aspiring Data Scientist with 19 years of academic experience in computer engineering and a strong foundation in research. Currently pursuing a Master of Data Science at Deakin University, with expected graduation in February 2025. Proficient in data preprocessing, visualization, cleaning, and editing, with hands-on experience in Python, GitHub, MS Planner. Currently part of a Melbourne City Council Open Data Project, where my role involves analyzing sensor based parking data to create a real-time smart parking app for finding available parking spots in the City Centre. This includes preparing data for further analysis and forecasting future parking availability using machine learning techniques. Eager to apply my analytical skills and academic background to a junior data scientist role, contributing to data-driven decision-making processes.
