  • Organised tools, supplies, and equipment needed for specific jobs according to instructions provided by the supervisor.
  • Lifting and carrying the wooden boards, pins and shovel for pouring the fittings. Once they fitting were dry, I would unpack it all and wash the boards, tools and brushes down to prevent the concrete from setting on everything
  • I often would go on drives for the boss to pick up tools or new timber boards from bunnings.

  • This involved me training once a week on a Wednesday for a Saturday or Sunday game the following weekend.
  • I started off umpiring younger years and quickly became a very popular umpire amongst players and spectators. I excelled within the first 2 years winning the Golden Whistle in 2018, which is best umpire of the year out of the whole South Fremantle conference. I then was fortunate enough to win it again in 2020 after a breakout year. Which was followed up by an invitation to a very special group of umpires
  • I was then asked to join the Dean Margetts Umpiring talent squad to further my umpiring pathway.
  • After a year and a half, I got selected to go over to Blacktown New South Wales and umpire in a multicultural AFL event called Kickstart. This was such a beneficial trip as we met many umpires such as Leigh Fisher and Matt Stevic.
  • It involved a lot of dedication, commitment and work outside of umpiring to; staying fit, eating well, stretching and making sure you sleep well. Balancing this with a job was tough at the start but it only makes you better as an individual for the future.

  • I worked five days a week consisting of; the cash register, working in fruit and vegetable and or stacking shelves.
  • Mainly I would be in the fruit n vegetable department making sure all the nicest freshest produce is out for the customers. I would also remove all the older fruits and bin if needed or make cheaper bags out of the slightly bruised ones.
  • Overtime, the regulars of the shop would remember me, and we would have chats daily it was a good environment to be around.
