I am seeking to gain experience and expand my skills as a professional. Working with and supporting children and families experiencing vulnerabilities has always been a passion of mine.

I am keen to expand my professional knowledge and skills and offer collaborative support to clients whilst gaining professional stability and continued experience in working with industry professionals.

I strive to gain a deeper understanding of aspects of working with children, young people, families and carer's who have and are experiencing trauma to feel supported through what they are experiencing.

I am honest and reliable to any organization that I work for. I am incredibly passionate in all work I undertake; I strive to do my best and I thoroughly enjoy learning new skills and challenging myself.

I enjoy the challenges and responsibilities that contribute to the learning of others, and my own self-growth and learning. I am very passionate about organization skills and communication.

I enjoy working in a team environment, I believe I have a very bubbly and energetic personality, which assists me in feeling confident in my work no matter what challenges I face.

I believe my range of qualifications and experience display that I am an easy to approach, hard worker whom puts her whole self into any job I do which makes me the perfect candidate for this role.

This makes me feel eager and confident in this pursue of the next step in my career.

CPP3: Child Protection Practitioner

  • I progressed into the role of CPP3 within Case Management at DFFH Footscray. As my scheduled Best Practice training was scheduled for the end of September, my role as a CPP3 was to support and oversee cases on the Awaiting Allocation list within Case Management Team 4, as well as my colleagues with their allocated case loads. During this time I have not officially been allocated a case load.
  • I supported in home visits, Outreach Interviews, Breaches, High Risk Youth and Intensive Infant Response Visits.
  • I worked with identified high risk youth client's towards their goals for leaving care and maintained consistent communication with youth whom were otherwise reluctant to engage with CP.
  • I have attended Court proceedings with support from my Manager and provided updates relating to families working towards protective concerns.
  • Built solid and trusting rapport with children and families, fostering trust and communication to meet case needs.
  • Documented interviews and access visits and completed accurate updates to case records.
  • I liaised with organizations to ensure quality of care and clear communication to work in the best interests of the children.

CPP2: Case Practice Support Worker

  • I began my experience as a CPP2 within the Case Practice and Support (Contact) Team at DFFH Footscray Office. My role included the facilitation of court-ordered contact between children and their families, adhering to supervision requirements and also transportation of children to and from their respective placements.
  • I engaged with Allocated Case Managers and Teams to better understand the protective concerns related to the clients I was facilitating contact for, and ensuring a clear line of communication regarding any concerns occurring during contact were appropriately passed onto the necessary parties.
  • I kept accurate and detailed Case Notes of the events during transportation and contact visits in order for Allocated Case Managers to review and assess progression of clients court-ordered contact.
  • I developed my rapport building skills, my confidence in communication and confrontational situations, and developed skills in assessing substance affect as well as appropriately responding to sensitive discussions with children and families.
  • My manager during this time acknowledged my skill development and progressed me to moving to a Case Management Team as a CPP2, this move commenced in late March of 2022. This role in the Case Management Team exposed me to further aspects of Child Protection and gave me further insight into the role of a CPP3 onwards.
  • As well as continuing to facilitate contact and transport, I worked closely with Allocated Case Workers and their cases. I have gained experience as a secondary in Outreach's, interviewing of children upon disclosures, sitting in on Court proceedings, assisting with placement breakdown transports and more, gaining further understanding of the role of a Case Manager.
  • My strong communication skills, as well as problem-solving and rapport building skills have developed as well as my confidence. Through regular supervision meetings with my Team Manager, I was supported to progress into the role of a CPP3.
