Summary Of Experience

I have a wide range of rigging and dogging experience, having worked in labor hire for the past 5 years. I have rigged / dogged with Favco and Hammer head tower cranes, non-slewing and slewing mobile cranes from 55 to 200 ton and a remote control electric tower cranes. Having been involved on different work sites, I have developed a skill set that I can utilise in many different circumstances. I’ve been placed in many situations and worked with some talented riggers who have shown me a lot procedures and maneuvers. Lift’s ranging anything from forklifts, booms, scissor lift to steel plates, stair cases, steel work, pipes, pallets, concrete reinforcement (reo), various packs of timber. I have a real passion in this area of High Risk Work as there’s no room for error and it is very comforting and enjoyable to work with other individuals who have the same mindset. With that said that, you never stop learning. I have been told I have real talent in rigging and there’s so many companies’ who are looking for someone with my experience. Several years working as a rigger in the event industry has shown that I can think out of the box due to the requirement of exhibitors. One year with the event company we rigged 2 lotus cars hanging from the ceiling of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. So many challenges we overcame in slinging lighting trusses, signage, banners, some as big as a house. Sailing over stands and the public with difficult access from a work platform.
