I have been doing a bit of part-time work since getting custody of my son. I had to quit my leadership roles 9to5 job. So have worked part time while my son is younger for farmers farmers, I grew up on a farm so I can castrate sheep, drench cows immunisation to animals. I have broken in horses, I've competed for Australia in show jumping and dressage. however these days being little overweight happy to get on horse s. If there already broken in .

I have renovated 6 houses. Four of my own. After doing 2 years carpentry in my younger days and SA water. I have only got builders if necessary

My Main role since finishing high school

running a pellet mill jtj. 5 computers . And managed 5 to 10 workers to achieve the best OEE.

I was blessed because after working in simular industry I got moved to the top and was shift manager plus computer room operator. Managing three men running chaff cutter. 3 to 5. Depending on work load. men bagging pellets, and a mill assistant I how to coordinate my team. And there was many I had to say goodbye and start again. With fresh workers. Which sometimes came from everywhere. However it has made me adapt, being put through safety leadership courses , courses to manage people in a safe way, fire warden certificates, first aid certificate, signing off and writing procedures. Sighning work orders and firing people for not putting their safety lock on and isolator when working on a machine.

I have been put into companies to get rid of the undesirable people. I have broad shoulders so people have got me into get rid of them so they don't have to do the deed to replace them with good hardware working people that want to achieve the highest OEE

I'm blunt honest with other workers, If I see someone slacking off I know how to get them moving. I don't need to know everything about the company to make the workers run to the highest OEE

Some people get offended easy how blunt I can be when managing a crew. If somebody is taking the bosses for granted for a cheap easy wage and not working to suit. I will get offside with someone easy if they are not working safe and efficiently.

However that's why the bosses like to pay me bonuses.

My roles , the boss would get work orders in preference of what jobs were emergency or daily , so we would have to fix water burst, to get the township back on running water. Which included fixing water pipes. Mainly big pipes. And services water meter installments, digging trenches with no safety back in the days. 😂

Repacking and servicing valves.

Learned a lot of the maintenance to desalination plants testing water adding chemicals through TAFE prospect road.
