Role: HV ELECTRICIAN WHITEHAVEN AND IDEMITSU SITES Duties:

  • Program and update controllers and software in complex autonomous trucks

● Install and maintain autonomous conversion kits supplied by Japan on all EH5000 Hitachi dump trucks to enable them to work in the Autonomous Operational Zone (AOZ).

● Install, upload and download software, including regular updates on each AHT (Autonomous Haul Truck).

● Install and maintain MIV systems on all vehicles required to run in the AOZ (Autonomous operating zone) in order for them to interact safely with autonomous vehicles.

● Program TRAX-10 and all associated hardware to provide definite identification of each vehicle in order for them to be controlled and to connect them to the Fleet Control System on site.

● Remotely or locally log in, diagnose and repair reported issues with all AOZ vehicles.

● Replace and programme faulty equipment and wiring harnesses as required.

● Perform regular and scheduled maintenance tasks on all Hitachi site equipment as required.

● Attend and provide input to daily task allocation meetings to ensure an efficient service to our customer and decrease production losses, working closely with AHS staff and Japanese on site engineers.

● Provide all warranty paperwork, completed procedures, electronic timesheets and service sheets to Hitachi on a daily basis, as well as completing daily handovers and updates to opposite shifts.

● Communicate with all on site departments to ensure maximum efficiency of Hitachi equipment. Achievements: ➢ Attended Hitachi Brisbane and attained authorisation to perform work on all Hitachi base RDT dump trucks. ➢ Trained and given competency in software installation, maintenance and diagnoses for all Hitachi equipment, fleet control and Wenco systems.

  • Work collaboratively with suppliers, vendors and key employees ensuring the scope and direction of each project is on schedule, while monitoring construction and mining operations as well as liaising with other departments, ensuring support is timely and delivered at all times
  • Schedules include daily/weekly/monthly inspections on all electrical infrastructure and processing equipment including CIL agitators, density gauges, Knelsons gravity gold separators, flotation circuits, Gekko gold recovery gravity systems, conveyors, weightometers, electrowinning cells, shaker screens, gas kilns, heat exchangers, SAG and Ball Mill 11kV motors,resistive starters and all associated electrical equipment,v/415v reticulation, stock tank agitators, PH probes, Conduct regular Citect monitoring and fault finding utilising Allen Bradley PLC’s
