Through out the project i work in multiple teams to deliver completion to multiple tasks as the project developed. these roles included Electrical Controller, HV Switching Operator, LV Permit Control Officer, QA and Commissioning Team and Leading Hand Electrician. Starting with temp works in the tunnel and commissioning tunnel and station electrical assets through to Electrical Controller for the south west HV network. Tasks include:

• Process work requests and design HV and LV isolations. 33kV AC, 11kV AC, 1500V DC, 400V AC based on job request.
• Carry out HV and LV switching from remote PCS control and in the field.
• Coordinate switching operators in the field to carry out HV switching programs and clear faults in HV network.
• Writing, issuing and holding HV MTS and LV permits
• QA testing and commissioning of LV, 1500v DC, 11kV and 33kV cables and equipment.
• Keeping records using Hexagon ITC platform
• Installation of HV and LV equipment and cables in tunnels and stations.
• Termination of LV equipment in tunnels and stations
• Liaise with multiple work crews and contractors to plan plant and crew movements for high rails in the tunnel
• Manage a crew/ team to install Cable containment, HV and LV cables and equipment
• Site establishment and temp works for compliance to bring tunnels from excavation stage to construction

At Structured Communications my role was Leading hand Electrician where I have led and supervised teams ranging from 2 to 45+ people on shift over one or multiple work sites on the same shift on different jobs. The tasks involved

• Development of testing and maintenance procedures, keeping accurate and up to date documentation and records as well as temporary works and permanent design works of installations and carried out works.
• Installation and operations of UHF and VHF underground radio communications of tunnels.
• Temporary ventilation designs and installations of fans controls and ducting for tunnels
• Terminations and installation of permanent tunnel ventilation and sump pump systems and controls as well as lighting and other Low Voltage equipment.
• Installation of ground movement vibration monitoring in buildings, tunnels and rail corridor.
• Site establishment or rectification works, noticing and reporting and actioning accordingly.
• Selecting and procuring the appropriate plant required for the designated task and operating as required.
• Led team in executing electrical installations and maintenance for residential and commercial projects.
• Supervised daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinated project timelines and resources to optimize workflow efficiency across multiple sites.
• Mentored junior electricians, providing training on tools, techniques, and best practices.
• Conducted site assessments to identify potential electrical issues before project initiation.
• Installation of optical fiber, terminations, testing and fault finding in domestic telecommunications applications, commercial data centers, multi-story buildings and underground/ infrastructure communications for radio communications and guidance systems.
• Quoting and estimating jobs.
• Safety reports and creating SWMS/ JSA, while continuing to develop these as the job and work environment changes.
• Training and development of electrical apprentices.
• Adapting tasks to different location, job site and / or company policies to maintain safety
• Working with electrical supply authorities to connect and disconnect Low Voltage and High Voltage supplies to premises and sites. Where required, powering site by generator and / or installing back up generators to permanent supplied premises and installing both manual and automatic transfer switches.
• Construction, commissioning and maintenance of concrete batching plants and break down works for major road projects and tunnels.
• Installation, isolation, relocation, and removal of electrical apparatuses in the rail corridor.
• Design and build electrical equipment and buildings off site and then commission in mining and infrastructure sites across NSW

Acquired practical skills as a tradesman after completing apprenticeship at DELCOM.

• Service and upgrades of non-compliant electrical installations and bringing existing installations to new compliance standards according to AS3000.
