Steven Saju

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) working with Barton Care – a healthcare staffing agency, my role involves providing on-demand care and support to elderly and disabled clients across different aged care facilities or community settings. Unlike permanent staff, I work flexibly through the agency, meaning I may be assigned to different locations based on facility needs and my availability.

My primary responsibility is to assist residents with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and emotional support, while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life. I also help with cleaning, documentation, and reporting changes in client health or behaviour to senior staff.

Working in this agency-based role requires me to adapt quickly to new environments, follow different facility protocols, and maintain a professional and compassionate attitude at all times.

Responsible for delivering orders promptly and safely to customers. In addition to deliveries, assist in-store with tasks such as food preparation, cleaning, restocking, and supporting the team during busy hours to ensure smooth store operations.
