  • Worked as one of the 6 faults Fitters covering all wet fire systems Victoria-wide.
  • Worked with clients to lower the risk of property damage by diagnosing issues of existing sprinkler systems and providing the skillset to rectify them
  • Enhanced system efficiency by troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with sprinkler equipment.
  • Continuously expanded industry knowledge by attending relevant trainings and obtaining certifications required for industry.

  • My first 2 years were spent on Major Contracts Jobs where I saw my introduction to sprinkler fitting. Working mainly in Teir 1 construction I worked on jobs such as ANZ, Lighthouse Apartments, AirTrunk Data Centre, NextDC Data Centre, Melbourne Airport, Water Gardens Shopping Centre and a range of other larger scale projects.
  • I moved from Contracts into the Service Department, where I was able to consolidate my overall knowledge of Fire Sprinkler Systems. Working on everything from Maintenance Calls, Fire Panels, Shop/Office Fitouts, Pumps, Testing and Small contract work.
  • In March 2020 - I competed in the PICAC Apprentice Skills Challenge and managed 2nd place overall and 1st in Victoria.
  • I have a keen desire to work around the Special Hazards area if that is an area of business you specialise in or looking to specialise in.

Plumbing Foreman – Vela Apartments

  • Vela apartments is being constructed by Project Group in Blackburn. It consists of 24 apartments spanning 4 inhabitable levels and a basement.


Plumbing Foreman – Maybloom Apartments

  • Maybloom Apartments is a 20 apartment luxury dwelling in Hawthorn constructed by Build ID a subsidiary of Spec Property Group. RCI have me overseeing the complete hydraulic and civil construction on the project. Estimated build price $11 million
  • Some of my tasks include - delegation of tasks for my team of 5-8, OHS implementation, builder liaison, problem solving between trades, materials ordering, testing and commissioning
  • Most notable aspects - demand duo solar (12 panel), dual tap in with dual 150mm magflo Fire meter and dual 80mm mains meters, council orifice pits, all drains, rough in and fit off.
  • RCI Building Services is a subsidiary of BP Plumbing which handles smaller scale non-union apartment developments. It also handles all of BP Plumbing's maintenance.


Plumbing Foreman – SYNC by Hickory

  • SYNC construct prefabricated bathroom pods in a Brooklyn factory for projects Australia-wide.
  • My tasks included full over sight of the plumbing systems, from implementation of new QA data recording, testing and commissioning, design consultation, materials ordering, labour management, principal builder and sub-trade liaison.

  • Managed the plumbing on a new home in Hawthorn east – 45 sq. home with ring mains, rainwater recycling (toilets/laundry) – estimated build price $2.4 Million +
  • Managed the plumbing on a new home in Blackburn South – 3 Bedroom, 3 bathrooms.
  • Refurbishment of two 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom houses in Glen Iris
  • All Plumbing maintenance on Arcadia Hotel, South Yarra
  • Gained a lot of experience in personal management and organisational skills.

  • BP Plumbing gave me some great insights into the plumbing or high-rise residential projects.
  • While only taking on this job, as agreed with management to be temporary work (6 weeks) I soon found myself a leading hand with a team of 5 other plumbers running a rough in crew.
  • I ended up staying with them for just shy of 12 weeks as I was thoroughly enjoying my job.
  • My responsibilities included conveying tasks to my team, liaising with site foreman (builder) and BP plumbing foreman, checking and testing all works completed by my team.
  • Running a team and taking on as much responsibility as I could appealed to me as I thrive under pressure. The skills of problem solving, quick thinking, team management and communication really developed in such a small timeframe.
  • Unfortunately due to my business commitments I had to depart early in the financial year to undertake work contracts that I had organised earlier.

(August 2012 – Feb 2013) It is a union run site, with the build managed by Monaco Hickey Builders, for a new Biotech facility worth over $100 million. During this job I have gained many new skills not covered in previous chapters of plumbing experience.- Skills cover, TIG welding of Stainless Steel piping, TIG welding of Mild Steel, Reading and understanding of 3D Models, Isometric Drawings, Complex plans, and many other drawings commonly found in large scale builds.- Also got a great understanding into the methods for problem solving in large scale builds, such as service clashes, incorrect installation of services, and communication between other contractors onsite.- During my time on the site I’ve enjoyed learning about the way the to get the most out of my days, while still remaining safe and vigilant in what is a workplace full of potential hazards.
