Languages Captain

This year I was elected as the Languages Captain of my school due to my passion for foreign languages as I studied Japanese and French this year. This meant that every week I had to run a 'Languages Helpdesk' where I had to mentor students in younger year levels with difficulties they may have encountered whilst learning languages. For example, I helped with teaching grammar, vocab and oral skills so that students could feel more confident in their language studies. I believe that I can transfer the communication skills that I learnt whilst mentoring students and apply them in a more professional context as an English tutor.
