Secured LAN Chat Messenger, 02/02/2015, 15/07/2018, The primary goal of the "Secured LAN Chat Messenger" project was to develop a secure and efficient local area network (LAN) messaging application with an objective to create a platform that facilitated real-time communication within a confined network environment., Utilisation of a Java for the application's backend and GUI development. The project also involved the use of encryption algorithms, including AES (Advanced Encryption Standard)., This project was conducted as a collaborative effort within a team of four. My specific role within the team was to focus on the implementation of the encryption algorithms and the overall security aspects of the application. Further responsibilities included design and coding of the secure messaging protocols, conducted thorough testing to identify vulnerabilities, and worked closely with team members to integrate the security features seamlessly into the user interface., We successfully developed a functional and secure LAN Chat Messenger that met the project's objectives., As a result of the team's collective efforts, I am pleased to note that we obtained a High Distinction for the Secured LAN Chat Messenger project. This recognition reflects not only the successful implementation of a secure LAN messaging application but also our ability to work collaboratively, meet project objectives, and present our findings effectively to our peers and instructors.
