Placement Experience

- Making beds and tidying up residents' rooms to create a safe environment. 

- Showering for residents who are not able to mobilise themselves and changing pads for incontinence residents. 

- Updating their bowel chart to check their bowel movement. 

- Assessed and reported pressure injuries on residents.

- Developed skills in pain management of nerve block, patient-controlled analgesia (PCA), and oral pain relief to identify and evaluate patient's pain.

- Gained knowledge about mental disorders and performed mental state exams on the consumers. 

- Developed communication skills with mentally unstable adolescents by showing empathy and active listening. 

- Actively engaged in team discussion regarding consumer care and discharging planning.
