As an Educational Leader, I :

• Lead the development and implementation of effective educational programs and guide pedagogy and practice across the centre.
• Ensure all children’s learning and development is guided by the Principles, Practices & Learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF),the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF, and the exceeding themes within the National Quality Framework.
• Coach educators through observing practice, engaging in guided reflective conversations, and modelling quality inclusive practice with children;
• Source team and individual continuous professional development opportunities to build capability.
• Nurture a culture of critical reflection within the team to develop reflective practices to build professional knowledge and support continuous improvement.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, I :

• Maintain professional work standards and model legal and ethical behaviour in accordance with the ECA Code of Ethics, National Quality Standard and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Work with the Centre Leadership Team to lead and support pedagogical practice in the room and engage in centre planning to ensure high quality teaching that impact upon the outcomes for children, their families and colleague educators.
• Deliver high quality and inclusive learning programs using contemporary teaching theories, strategies and styles, knowledge of child development, and fidelity to the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).
• Always follow all Health and Safety related workplace policies and procedures for controlling risks and adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of relevant Child Protection Law matters applicable to the jurisdiction and proactively respond to child protection matters.
• Maintain a safe environment for children, families and team members by implementing and evaluating policies, curriculum and legislative requirements.

• Use and implement the Organisation's Practice Guide to deliver responsive, high quality educational program and practice to deliver responsive, high quality education program and practice.
• Lead, role model and communicate best practice to Educator/s and the Centre team to encourage high performance and maintain a positive team environment.
• Build and maintain positive and reciprocal relationships with families and children to respond to individual child and family needs.
• Support the Centre’s commitment to the Organisation’s inclusion goal to ensure access for all children and families.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures always. This includes:
• Reporting any incidents or hazards at work to their manager in line with the Organisation’s Health and safety procedures.
• Utilising any Personal Protective Equipment provided to protect health and safety while at work
• Participating in Health and Safety Training and mandatory training.
