For the past 10 years I have worked as a rostering support officer in the Rostering Information Office, I have enjoyed fostering working relationships with the staff in RIO and with the LGH and in Primary Health.
Rostering requires adhering to strict time frames while still being able to answer phone calls, emails or queries about rostering, staffing, allocators or helping staff with processes and also processing the data from the daily allocators in to ProAct.
I have now added data collection from the worked allocators to my knowledge belt and while still learning the particular and complex role I feel this experience rounds out my experience as a roster officer.
10 years ago I came from the Emergency Department with clerical and admissions skills but no understanding of rostering or allocator data collection, I feel I have now refined many of the skills required to be a successful and productive part of the Rostering and information Office.
I am proficient in the use of ProAct and Empower, the systems currently in used in rostering and I have experience in both Word and Excel.
