In this role, I was responsible for planning services to monitor the flow of products through the entire customer delivery process, ensuring alignment and communication with key internal stakeholders across multiple departments. Provide timely planning and scheduling of fabricated work orders to meet internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. Your duties will include cost engineering, cost estimating, analysis, and control. Interpret technical drawings and specifications of materials for fabricated orders and complete a Bill of Materials (B.O.M). Additionally, you will identify, analyze, and provide innovative solutions to cost engineering, planning, and scheduling problems.

Ownership of the planning function within the Customer Delivery Process, ensuring the integrity of the data being processed. This includes developing project forecasts, analyzing project schedules, and managing schedule analysis using resource loading histograms, resource leveling, and s-curves to ensure schedules are realistic and attainable given available resources. Manage schedule controls, including float management, earned value, and critical paths.

Responsible for developing and maintaining Customer Delivery Schedules in line with high-level business plans, and communicating with key stakeholders across engineering, production, purchasing, estimation, sales, warehousing, and supply chain. Understand and apply procedures forming the Quality Management System and work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system. Additionally, Implement modifications to provide a cost-effective planning service within assigned budget constraints.

Responsible for the appropriate allocation and execution of work to support manufacturing operations. Adopt and promote a customer service philosophy within the stores and material handling personnel to ensure a unified understanding and attitude towards the support function provided to the business. Effective communication with staff is crucial to ensure that requirements are clear and understood, roles and accountabilities are well-defined, and staff are held accountable for outcomes. Collaboration with staff, managers, and peers is essential.

Ensure timely and accurate transactional activity in Sage MRP, aligning transactional activity and physical movements in terms of quantities and timing. Physical handling of materials will be managed to ensure product integrity at all stages, including receipt, storage, retrieval, delivery, and dispatch.

Managing discrepant materials accurately and timely, including physical segregation, supplier returns, and credits, is part of your responsibilities. Establish a cycle counting regime to ensure all inventory is counted according to business and financial requirements, managing, monitoring, and reporting cycle counting activities with root cause analysis to resolve variances.

Supporting production, procurement, supply chain, and general management through timely and effective reporting is key.

Analyze and report on key KPIs such as backorders, inventory accuracy, stock on hand, inventory valuation, usage variance, supplier delivery performance, and on-time delivery to vehicle assembly lines.

Responsible for maintaining and monitoring optimum levels of inventory across multiple warehouses in Queensland. Oversee all distribution centres, balancing stock levels to ensure 100% Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT) from each centre. Creating and executing stock transfer orders, liaising with third-party logistics (3PL) companies to cover customer order allocations.

Generate and monitor out-of-stock reports, working closely with production and planning teams to plan production accordingly to meet local routes, food stores, and interstate customer demand. Maintaining safety stock of fast-moving items and conducting daily cycle counts at all locations to ensure inventory accuracy is also part of your responsibilities.

Additionally, Utilize the live SAP ERP system to maintain accurate stock levels nationally, ensuring efficient and effective inventory management across the organization.

Plan and manage global production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of customer orders and global supplier material scheduling to ensure 100% on-time availability. Analyze sales order releases concerning capacity planning and material requirements, complete shipping information, and input delivery dates. Interfacing with manufacturing and purchasing personnel on material status and production planning issues is essential.

Work with managers to plan and manage production tasks to improve Takt-Time, review production plans to identify and report potential risks, and develop inventory control techniques to avoid shortages and excesses. Assisting in processing customer orders and shipments according to the established schedule and helping managers control and reduce the cost of goods sold (COGS) while maintaining quality standards are also part of your responsibilities.

Active participation in meetings, providing relevant technical information, and leading meetings to provide direction to team members are key aspects of the role.

Liaising with clients professionally and courteously to improve Tritium’s reputation within the industry and increase business opportunities is important. Additionally, Identify and develop new market/product opportunities derived from Tritium electric vehicle technology, including rapid charger products.

Serve as the focal point for creating a production schedule for NOJA, utilizing a combination of Visual Manufacturing MRP system, Excel, and Access. Develop and maintain yearly forecasts, measuring forecast accuracy quarterly. Conducting in-depth audits on production requirements, manufacturing capacity, schedules, and workforce size. Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of the production process using data from production control systems.

Research and assign manufacturing times and due dates for parts, documenting these during release, and assist the manufacturing department in actively managing the production schedule. Planning and executing a Just-In-Time (JIT) production strategy to order parts for production were key part of my role, including implementing the JIT process for both domestic and international suppliers based in Malaysia, China, and Vietnam.

Running Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and maintaining MRP recommendations using SAP, updating sales orders, maintaining production schedules, and reporting sales forecasts and Available to Sale (ATS) on SAP are essential tasks.

Conducting stocktakes every six months and implementing, complying with, and enforcing NOJA POWER’s quality, environment, and workplace health and safety procedures are also part of your responsibilities.
