I have gained proficiency in a range of advanced software applications, such as Autocad, Revit, spaceGass and MS projects. These tools help me to analyze and design complex structures accurately, which comes in useful when dealing with real-life engineering problems. I am excited about putting what I have learned, into real practice and making a significant contribution to civil engineering by tackling innovative and impactful projects.
During my work placement at the University of Wollongong's School of Civil, Mining, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering, I contributed to a groundbreaking research project titled "Development of Sustainable Concrete Incorporating Nanocarbon Aerogel Derived from Polystyrene Waffle Pod Waste for CO2 Sequestration." My work involved conducting a comprehensive literature review, optimizing concrete mix designs that incorporate nanocarbon aerogel derived from recycled polystyrene waste, and evaluating the impact of this innovative material on the mechanical properties and microstructure of the concrete. This experience will provide me with valuable insights into sustainable construction practices and the transformative potential of nanotechnology within the industry.
