I am a skilled and passionate Social Worker with expertise in child protection, trauma-informed care, and child development. With over a decade of hands-on experience, including six years at the Department for Child Protection, I have the necessary skills to deliver both crisis intervention and long-term support to children and families in need.
My career goal is to transition into the court space, where I can provide dedicated support to children involved in legal proceedings. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in child protection cases, working closely with children and families. This has deepened my passion for supporting vulnerable children in the judicial system, and I am now eager to focus my efforts in this area.
I have dedicated the majority of my career to supporting families facing a variety of complex challenges. Through one on one assistance, I help them identify areas of need, work collaboratively on solutions, and connect with the appropriate resources to ensure the safety and well-being of their children.
As a Senior Practitioner, I demonstrated strong leadership, guiding and teaching fellow social workers. I also had the opportunity to act up on multiple occasions as a Supervisor making critical decisions on behalf of the Chief Executive.
Currently, as a Child Development Practitioner at Connect Ed, I provide expert coaching and training to educators and other professionals, helping them to implement trauma-informed practices to support children with complex emotional and behavioural needs. My approach integrates a deep understanding of child development, attachment theory, emotional literacy, and the impact of trauma on child development. I am dedicated to empowering families, fostering collaborative environments, and driving positive change for vulnerable children and families.
