Trainee to room assistant of 3–5-year-olds

• Maintain a clean environment by changing nappies daily, guiding children with potty training and regularly sanitizing of the centre

• Creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for the children ranging from 3-5 years old.

• Collaborating with fellow educators to create a program suited for each child

• As a trainee I would float between rooms, engaging and interacting with children ranging from 1–5 years old, assisting other educators if needed

• Clearly communicate and coordinate with parents to understand each child’s specific needs, desires, and goals.

• Communicate child’s daily activities and behaviors to parents and provide progress reports on their growth

• Effectively interact with infants and toddlers working towards specific age appropriate milestones

• Administer medication and ensure food is specific to each child’s dietary needs or restrictions including lactose intolerance, allergy meals and nut intolerances

• Created a fun and interactive environment - planning activities that both entertain and stimulate the children

• Created weekly programs based on children’s interests, continually changing toys and activities to keep children’sinteraction and interests.

• Complete monthly observation and follow ups, following the national quality standard, early year learning frame and children’s skills, need for improvement and interests
