Hey, my name is Tallis Knight and I'm 21 years old. I am currently wanting another job that is more suited to my field of study. I am a very outgoing person who loves talking and interacting with people. I enjoy working in a team environment as well as independently. East Gosford Public School Canteen

  • I volunteered at the school canteen during years 5 and 6
  • I would assist in all aspects of the running of the canteen
  • From serving to re-stocking, it helped me develop great communication and money handling skills.

McDonalds

  • During my time working at McDonald’s (Bateau Bay area) I learned basic cooking skills like how to deep dry food and cook burgers on the grill as well as a variety of cleaning skills such as sweeping, mopping and drying floors, taking out bins and washing my hands constantly
  • I always kept my personal hygiene as well as keeping a clean space to maintain a healthy working environment
  • I also learned how to work as a team as well as how to communicate with others properly to get the job done efficiently and with good quality.

Woolworths Bateau Bay

  • My current job is at Woolworths Bateau Bay in the online department
  • In this department I learnt many skills such as processing online orders, picking and packing orders, running orders down to customers and helping them pack it in their car as well as performing out of stock for the customers orders
  • I also learnt some really important leading skills such as leading and organising a team, dealing with difficult customers, building relationships with my team and making decisions effectively
  • I also worked in the customer service department where I dealt with many different situations involving customers such as helping them find products, finalising their purchases and diffusing situations that have gotten out of hand
  • I've worked at Woolworths for just over a year now but I'm looking for a job that can provide me with a decent amount of hours
  • I also had to supervise my department anytime my manager hasn’t been able to, which has strengthened a lot of my leadership skills.
