Summary

Professional Philosophy

Through out my journey of teaching I have found myself falling more in love with what I do. Each day is a new challenge and every day a child teaches me something I didn't know yesterday. Many times I look at the work that I do and I understand more why it is so important that teachers be the first point outside of a childs Whanau (family). Creating a space where their confidence and uniqueness is encouraged to create people who will empower the world. The start of that is having teachers who empower children who will make that change.

Imagination is the gate way too seeing the world and unfortunately as adults we loose that vision, being a teacher grants me the opportunity to step back in time and use my imagination to create, build and help children reach their fullest potentials while giving them their own agency to follow their learning journeys.
