My responsibilities encompassed a wide range of engagement activities, including the identification of new opportunities based on business unit requirements and advising on how IT can contribute to enhancing the business unit's competitive advantage. Further provided hands-on support for pre-project activities including feasibility assessment, market scanning, scoping, requirements definition, business case, and work with other parts of the business and IT to maintain engagement and manage expectations. I played a pivotal role in creating and maintaining a structured framework that guides the testing processes. Established clear protocols for UAT planning, execution, and evaluation. I contributed to the overall quality assurance of technical solutions, mitigated risks associated with system changes, and facilitated smooth transitions into production environments.

My role entailed supporting the product managers in developing Commercial SME Insurance products including Business Pack, Commercial Motor, and Farm Pack. I worked with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities and streamline processes, while enhancing product offerings and addressing operational challenges. In collaboration with underwriting teams, I ensured thorough risk assessments and appropriate pricing strategies and ensuring products complied with regulatory requirements and contracts and policy documents adhere to applicable laws. My responsibilities included delivering key strategic initiatives, prioritisation, and continuously improving associated systems, processes, and procedures. I analysed the changing portfolio mix to identify growth opportunities for the Direct business and forecasted its effects on growth and profitability. I also developed business performance reports on conversion rates, new business/renewal performance, retention rates, and performance trends to support the development of new product features and marketing campaigns. My role involved rendering complex information into digestible reports for Senior Management and the Direct Board with findings and recommendations for the Monthly Direct Board Report. I was responsible for analysing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive performance management system for TMF Workers Comp's remuneration model, identified key drivers of performance, provided recommendations for areas of improvement, facilitated the insights to Claims Team Leader, Service Manager, and Compliance Manager in driving claims improvement initiatives on return-to-work rate, finalisation rate, and average claim costs, including medical expenses, rehabilitation success rates, and benefits.
