  • I was employed here to oversee a crew of 15 to 30 craft personnel which was made up of concreters, form workers and steel fixers. As the project developed my role grew into grouting and fire proofing supervisor. My role included also included the following.
  • Liaising with the area superintendents and other supervisors as to ensure all work is being completed on schedule, under budget and as per specifications.
  • Daily prestart and close outs along with safety briefs which are conducted on a weekly basis.
  • Liaising with Bechtel's procurement staff as to ensure deliveries to the island where on schedule and correct as per the design and purchase orders.
  • Craft appraisals, which subsequently tuned into assessment and training.

  • Ultra is a construction contractor specialising in concrete constructions in the commercial and mining sectors. I worked on various sites during this period and role included but was not limited to the following.
  • Employment of all site craft personnel along with managing and approving all working hours. Site crews were 10 to 50 people pending the size of the project.
  • Ordering of all material to site which included scaffold, rebar, formwork, concrete and any miscellaneous tools and equipment required to complete the projects.
  • Submitting weekly and monthly performance factors to the company directors as to ensure project was being delivered as per the contract and under budget.

  • This was a hands on role leading a crew of nearly 20 people. My work activities included the following.
  • Organising and completing all formwork, steel fixing and concreting duties onsite.

  • Submitting weekly time cards for all to pay role.

  • My role here started off as leading hand however I was promoted to structures foreman after approximately 30 months. My work duties here were very similar to when I worked for Ultra from 2009 to 2012 as seen above.
