My goals are:
To become the best leader i can be
I think i should be chosen for the Rotary Youth Leadership Award because I love being apart of my community and want to see the young people around me thrive and I'd love to help them thrive even more. I love helping others and I am a very empathetic and caring person and I work really well in a team.
I've been a Youth leader at T.L.C church for a few years now and have enjoyed doing the Friday nights programs. I love connecting with the youth and creating a safe space for them to come after school on Friday night where they can be themselves and enjoy the actives we've planned for them. I get so much joy out of seeing how happy they are and how much they enjoy Youth Group. I've been on a few youth group camps and help run and organise the nights and camps. I also sometimes help out in Kid's Church on Sundays as well which is also fun.
I was an intern through Scripture Union and T.L.C church it was for Youth and kids ministry. I ran a grade 5/6 youth evening on a Friday for the year and helped out on Kid's church. I also went on two camps that year to do workshops on skills to help kids engage and create safe environments. i really grew as a person in that time.
I helped babysit a primary school aged girl of a family friend during the school holidays while her parents were working. we would dance, play games on the iPad, watch cartoons and go outside. her food was provided and she'd be dropped off at my place for most of the day a few times a week.
