My background has always been in customer service and administration. I've worked in a variety of different fields utilizing skills I have learned on the job within all of my employment.
I completed Year 12 and promptly travelled to The Netherlands as an exchange student and completed one year of schooling there, which was the equivalent of Year 11 in Australia. I learnt Dutch while I was there and had the opportunity to travel to a few other European countries.
On return I worked for Big W as a sales assistant, quickly moving into the Lay-by department, and then the Photo Lab. I thoroughly enjoyed this position and worked alongside another lab assistant where we ran the lab efficiently at all times.
I returned to Big W after a year away as the Front End Supervisor. Enduring all systems, training and staff ran according to management protocols.
In 2008 I started my employment at Nover, seeking fulltime employment. I was promoted to the Inventory Supervisor for Queensland, ensuring all 5 Queensland branches were stocked, managed and functioning well in order to support the sales teams.
In 2013, we welcomed our first child and my employment with our family company Cabinet Fit Pty Ltd began. I am responsible for all administration tasks, payroll and accounts payable and receivable.
This position is held remotely and I am very flexible with my work here and will continue to do this as long as we own the business.
In 2023 I was needing some more human interaction and I began working with Kriket Broadhurst Jewellery in a sales role. Her store is connected to e360 Design on Gallery Walk, and when they needed another staff member I approached Jen Robson the owner and I am currently working there 1.5 days a week.
I love to garden, and time permitting I am usually found propagating seeds, weeding, and filling our garden.
I am an avid reader, and love a good movie. Spending quality time with my family is of great importance to me.
