Taryn Lee-Steere

The PARC Program Manager reports to the Regional Manager, North & West and is responsible for

leading a multidisciplinary, recovery-led mental health team in collaboration with clinical partners, and

ensuring smooth operations day to day within the 10 bed residential site.

• Engage with all relevant service providers, as well as participants and their families/carers, to develop trusting and professional relationships.
• Fostering effective communication and maintaining positive relationships within the partnership and other key internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure quality and consistent practice.
• Contribute to budgeting and business planning.
• Identify service gaps and issues that impact on service delivery, and develop strategies to manage challenges.
• Ensure that all operational and administrative requirements are met.
• Prepare and complete reports as required.
• Ensure the effective recruitment and induction of the PARC team
• Effectively nurture and develop program staff by identifying the current and projected knowledge, skills and staffing required to implement talent development and succession strategies.
• Lead an environment based on shared accountability and effective knowledge sharing

• Maintain a high level of program quality and drive

continuous improvement.

• Under the support and direction of the Regional Manager, ensure the on-going development of the program offer
• Working as part of the leadership team, contribute to
  the development of program and regional plans
• Ensuring active intervention in health promotion and advocacy.

• Engaging participants and developing professional and trusting relationships
  • Develop individual recovery plans with participants incorporating individual goals, focusing on skill
  and knowledge development while working towards recovery and under the ethos of ‘Client self-
  direction’,
  • Ongoing development and support of Team Culture inclusive of partnership clinical team
  • Providing Group Supervision for Wellways team supporting the ethos of ‘Client self-direction’,
  • Case planning: convene case planning meetings with clinicians, lead agency case manager, consumers
  and their families, and other service partners.
  • Case coordination; coordinate activities for the PARC consumer and our partners in service delivery
  (clinicians, employment services, education providers, accommodation providers)
  • Quality control of PARC environment inclusive of bedroom turnover, communal spaces, management
  of hazards and upkeep of building including food safety
  • File Audits ensuring legislative requirements are completed for each participant entering the service
  • Assisting with maintenance of the roster, coordinating casual coverage where required, assist with
  recruitment, orientation and training of new staff
  • Ensuring that operational and administrative requirements are met including regular reporting
  requirements and records maintenance
  • Occasions requiring “Acting Up” as PARC Program Manager where required

• Support a team of Mental Health Recovery Workers with a Trauma Informed and recovery focused lens.
• Work with people with complex needs including AOD, homelessness, FV, mental health, offenders,Key Work 1-3 participants, supporting them to work towards psychosocial goals they have identified.
• Facilitate group work around psychosocial goals, and coping strategies.
• Join with Northern Health clinicians to conduct comprehensive assessments for referred participants.
• Created culturally sensitive programming that addressed the diverse backgrounds of participants.
• Educated families about available community resources, increasing their awareness of potential with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive recovery plans tailored to each client''s unique needs.
• Assisted clients in regaining independence through goal-setting, problem-solving, and skill-building exercises.

• Promoted self-care practices among patients while emphasizing the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle for sustained wellbeing.
• Reduced hospital readmission rates by providing thorough discharge planning and follow-up support for patients transitioning back into the community.
