Summary

Over the last eight years, I have accrued a diversity of experience, ranging from roles in hospitality and retail to hands-on wet-lab research and data analysis. My educational journey began at St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School, where I graduated in 2020. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) at the University of Queensland.
My past and current involvement with local and international communities has enabled me to become a culturally sensitive and confident individual. Over the course of my studies, I have developed a deep-rooted passion for science, with a particular interest in molecular and biophysical research. As I continue to explore the diverse realms of science and research and development (R&D), I remain eager to venture into areas beyond these primary focuses. I am highly motivated and enthusiastic and consider myself a reliable employee with a strong work ethic.

Accomplishments

  • Red Earth (2017) - In 2017, I had the privilege of participating in the Red Earth program, which involved a journey to Cairns, including stops in two rural Indigenous communities, Binthiwarra and Jujikal. During this experience, I actively engaged with the local people and Elders, collaborating to enhance the quality of facilities in their remote communities. This opportunity expanded my understanding and appreciation of Indigenous culture, leaving a profound impact on me.
  • Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group (2017-2020) - Following my involvement with the Red Earth program in September 2017, I took the initiative to become a founding member of St Aidan's first RAP working group. Through the Narragunnawali initiative, our dedicated group worked persistently to educate St Aidan's Girls and the surrounding community about the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This commitment to reconciliation and awareness-building was a transformative experience for me.
  • Duke of Edinburgh (2018)- In 2018, I successfully completed the Bronze level of the Duke of Edinburgh Award and have since been working towards achieving the Gold level.
  • St Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School Sacristan (2020) - Serving as one of the two Sacristans at St Aidan's in 2020, I assumed the responsibility of upholding the values and ethos of the school. I also worked closely alongside the school captain and vice-captain of that year, providing support, guidance, and inspiration to the St Aidan’s community.
  • Duke of Edinburgh Captain (2020) - In 2020, I held the position of Duke of Edinburgh Captain. My role involved guiding and supporting students as they completed their Duke of Edinburgh awards and assisting in the planning of their award programs.
  • Volunteer at Milpera State School (2016 – 2021) - Over the course of five years, from 2016 to 2021, I dedicated my time to volunteer at Milpera State High School in Chelmer. My commitment involved supporting the school's breakfast service, which aimed to provide students with nutritious breakfast foods. This experience allowed me to contribute positively to the local community.
