As a compassionate and dedicated individual, with one year of hands-on experience within disability support work and currently studying a bachelor of Psychology (second year of study), I am committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. Previously, I worked closely with young women who had mental disabilities, including Asperger's Syndrome, schizophrenia, and ADHD. This experience allowed for essential skills to be developed in providing personalized care, assisting with daily living activities, and offering emotional support while respecting client dignity and independence. I am often recognized for my outgoing, bubbly, and cheerful personality, which helps build positive and trusting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. My psychology studies have deepened an understanding of human behaviour, mental health, and therapeutic interventions, which I am eager to apply in a practical setting. With a passion for supporting individuals to reach their full potential, I am looking to expand experience in disability support to align with bothacademic goals and the desire to make a positive, lasting impact on the lives of others.
