- Independently recognised and responded to deteriorating patient status, and therefore conducted strict documentation of vital signs and escalation to the multi-disciplinary team.
- Witnessed the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiotherapy and therefore developed a comprehensive understanding of the related side effects.
- Learning the role of a cancer nurse and developed strong communication methods and relationships with patients and their families.
- Within scope of practice, frequent use of The Australian Injectables Drug Handbook & MIMS when preparing and administering IV medications, as per the protocol.
