The position at Toll was to develop and run purge algorithms on the Progress database that supports the Toll Works application. This is based on a Solaris UNIX server and needed to be done to migrate the product onto the cloud. The process was to purge data across various sections If the database and as originally estimated as over 4 months running time.

After the initial development of the scripts and rationalisation if the index structure this time frame was bought to just over 1 month.

Once implementation I supported and ran the scripts throughout the day to get the job completed and handed to the BAU start.

• My Role at Snooze consisted of being the database manager for the database that produces the snooze management system for the company stores as well as the franchises
• I wrote scripts to migrate for the Informix servers to the sql server data warehouse
• This was then picked up via obscene to Qlik Sense and Qik View
• The documentation of the data map to enable the conversion to the latest version of pronto
• Developed and implemented database security measures to ensure data protection.
• Configured user accounts, privileges, roles, profiles. in the database server.
• Monitored performance of queries and tuned them as needed using Explain Plan tool.
• Tested application code changes before deploying them into production environment.
• Ensured that all the stored procedures are optimized for better performance of the system.
• Developed scripts for automating routine maintenance tasks such as index rebuilds and statistics updates.
• Assisted in disaster recovery planning by testing various backup strategies and scenarios.
• Communicated with data architects, programmers and engineers to keep projects on track.
• Spearheaded development and implementation of business intelligence architecture to deliver end-to-end BI solutions.

• My Role at Auto_It consisted of being the hands on DBA for both SAP Sql Anywhere ( handling replication and deployment , and design) as well as migration and design to the MS Sql server platform and Oracle 19c platform ) I incorporated writing sql scripts for data conversions, applying business logic in both stored procedures and triggers
• I also performed site debugging and data analysis for the 350 clients within auto -it
• I am also involved in the design and development of new systems to suit the Dealer Management Systems as well as creating data warehousing solutions for the BI team
• Developed and implemented database security measures to ensure data protection.

• My role here is the implementation and documentation of various data transformation rules from the Opal system into an XML based messages (GSLR7)
• As Dunn and Bradstreet is an international company my role to provide these DTS scripts and to provide the stored procedures that extracts the data from Microsoft SQL Server is important to the a successful operation
• I am also involved in the business requirement phases of the international projects producing the requirements, functional specifications, business intelligence and data structure/model design
• I also provided technical and performance support for the SQL Server in regards to performance and design.

• My original role in this project was in facilitation of the build process of the Java components in the iMed Suite of programs, Gateway and iMedNow
• During the last 18 months I was responsible for the design and delivery of a business intelligence database starting from scratch and for database administration and data warehousing responsibilities.

• This system is designed to input buy and sell options and produce the appropriate reports or government extracts
