Summary

Good morning. Firstly, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Teshia, and I am a 36-year-old stay-at-home mom.

I have epilepsy, which is controlled by medication.

I have been a stay at home mum for the last 11 years, as my firstborn was a medically complex baby, being born a micro-preemie.

While I was pregnant with him, I was undergoing my Cert 3 in childcare, which I never completed, as my waters broke at 19 weeks pregnant, and I was never able to return.

Since having my son almost 11 years ago, I have had two more children. All of my kids have now started full-time schooling.

I am now ready to focus on myself and what I want for the future; this includes finding a job that suits my family.

Before I had children, I did a diverse range of jobs, including.

Childcare.

Cleaning.

Call center cold calling; I also did my real estate license.

Although returning to the workforce is difficult, being a single mum is my main focus, as my children are my priority. I am only able to work during school hours, with no weekends or school holidays, and I am the main carer of my children.
