My role at Mirvac has allowed me to immerse myself in multiple facets of the development lifecycle from development application and planning stage, to construction and preparation for sales release.
The project I am currently working on is a 300+ community title subdivision, including construction of homes (by Mirvac), lead-in infrastructure, intersection upgrades on TfNSW land, riverbank stabilisation, activation of the George's River foreshore for the greater community.
• Coordinate multiple phases of an 18ha masterplan community including planning and applications for civil, home construction, lead in infrastructure, riverbank stabilisation, and community amenity
• Coordinate engineering design, and service designs
and approvals required for construction certificates
• Prepare project programs in line with company KPIs
• Manage feasibility and cash flows for the lifetime of the project and report to the senior leadership team monthly
• Manage engagement and works of various consultants such as geotechnical, environmental, bushfire, planning, civil engineers etc.
• Coordinate home development applications through Council and private certifiers
• Chair project meetings and provide direction to marketing, Mirvac Design and Mirvac Construction
• Assist superintendent in preparation of tender and scope of works for civil construction
• Coordinate collateral and renders required for project website and future sales releases
• Undertake weekly site walks during construction and coordinate additional information required by
the civil contractor
Project management of various development and subdivision work certificate applications varying from 30-70lots primarily in the Northwest and Southwest NSW growth precincts.
My role primarily included:
• Coordinate engineering design, and service designs and approvals required for construction certificates
• Prepare project programs in line with client timeframes
• Prepare and monitor risk and opportunity matrices at project inception
• Manage and forecast internal budgets for the lifetime of a project including civil design, project management and construction management components
• Assist project managers and senior project managers across various sized projects, each with different constraints and challenges
• Assist with status reporting regarding project deliverables, milestones, dependencies etc.
• Prepare fee proposals for new projects
• Conduct drone surveys of sites between 2ha-500haand manage approvals to fly through restricted
airspace through the Civil Aviation Safety Authority
• Assist with the implementation of Sales & Marketing initiatives
• Provide support to the sales team to help achieve KPIs
• Assist customers through the post-sale process
• Track large amounts of settlements and support customers through this process
• Administrative tasks including updating customer records, updating sales materials
• Manage large amounts of purchaser complaints
• Undertake tasks outside of my role to assist the development team and help work towards my career goals
